Monthly music night in Berlin; previously based at Zosch, Hotelbar/Monkey Club, and Madame Claude - from April 2013 onwards at Schokoladen. Currently on hiatus. We also co-curated the Down by the River Festival and sometimes organize Fourtrack Spezial events.

Elizabeth Devlin, combining an enchanting, lilting voice and Autoharp, is a NYC singer-songwriter with avante-garde-folk sensibilities; she defies traditional song structures, weaving small worlds where magic and fantasies collide.
die schwimmen ist eine in Berlin gegründete One-Person-Band. Ihr Stil wurde vom taz.blog als „Autotune-New-Order-Pop“ beschrieben. Die 2021 erschienene Debüt-EP „Bistro Heartbreak“ umfasst eine Handvoll mit Liebe geschriebener Songs. Aufgenommen im zwölften Stock in einem Single-Appartement, irgendwo in Lichtenberg. Sie handeln von 0,33-Liter Cola, Saugen am Samstagabend, Herzschmerz und dem Gefühl, sich zu verlieren – irgendwo zwischen 80’s Disco-Drums, Gitarren-Reverb, Autotune und Synthesizern.

mit: Case Van Duzer – imported from San Francisco (that dark dream filled with anarchist dancers, balloon-delivery gorillas, bad disco and junkie babysitters) but making noise in Berlin since 1993, once again with the support of guitarrero N. Zunker (Caught In The White Summer Hotel). Half-Fingerpicking, half-Punk, half-Analogsynth Unverschämtheit, half-following the half-name change of a half-brother, always trying to answer the question “What are we now?”
Einar Stenseng - Fifteen years ago, Einar Stenseng played a farewell-to-Berlin concert at Schokoladen, after living four years down in Kreuzberg. It was a sweaty night. Now it’s time to sweat again. Hailing from Oslo, Norway, Stenseng has released three solo albums, as well as being involved in many other musical and literary projects. His songs tend to have descending bass lines and lyrics that try hard to turn something depressing into something funny.

Goblin Prince (Berlin)
Goblin Prince’s supernatural Baroque Pop feels like being led through a shadowy dream. Tragic and playful, the Spanish singer/songwriter blends medieval imagery, floral strings and 80s fantasy movie synthpop as they explore queer shame, identity and alienation. Performing with Lidia Luciano on keyboards and Eszter Kádár on drums, they are currently presenting the songs from upcoming debut EP, set to be released in 2020.

Rochester, NY- Seth Faergolzia, one of anti-folk’s most fearless singer-songwriters, will hit the road this Winter with a new album from his latest project, Multibird. This special quartet tour will have performances in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland.
Formed in 2015, critics have hailed Multibird’s sound as “tender and calm” (New York Press) and “twisted and distorted” (Relix). Where Faergolzia’s critically-acclaimed avant-rock outfit, Dufus, shook up New York City in the ‘00s with folk-punk gymnastics and Captain Beefheart-esque abrasion, Multibird creates the communal amiability of a warm gathering around the hearth.
A Multibird show can lead almost anywhere, from raucous foot-stompers to songs soft, heartwarming and careful, to an a cappella quartet, all the while anchored by Faergolzia’s enigmatic voice and captivating presence. Outré as the four-piece may get, fans of Mumford and Sons will still feel right at home.
The Multibird quartet consists of Seth Faergolzia (acoustic guitar, loops and vocals), Shaun Jones (electric guitar, vocals, and percussion), Emily DiPaola (trumpet, drums, vocals) and Luke Cornwell (bass, drums, vocals). These versatile and powerful musicians bring a huge sound despite the small ensemble.

Ben Osborn
Ben Osborn is a composer, poet and multi-instrumentalist. Already known as a composer for theatre and film and a lyricist and librettist, 2019 sees the release of his debut album Letters from the Border.
Channelling Leonard Cohen-esque balladry, Ben draws also from electronica, folk and 20th century art music. Ethereal string sections rise and fade, Björk-like beats skitter, Erik Satie piano chords drift into view: in less capable hands it might sound miscellaneous, but he weaves his disparate influences into textural tapestries that sound like nobody but him.
